Which forms of payment do you accept?
We happily accept payments via credit or debit cards with a Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express logo.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
We get it, sometimes things come up and you need to cancel or reschedule. We make the process as clear and clean as possible.
Within 24 hours of the scheduled cleaning – There is a full charge, non-refundable.
24 – 48 hours of the scheduled cleaning – You will be eligible for a credit to your account. The credit can be used when scheduling your next cleaning.
Before the 48-hour window – You will be eligible for a full refund.
Do you offer discounts on any of your services?
Yes, we do offer discounts.
Weekly Recurring Cleanings – 15% discount
Biweekly Recurring Cleanings – 10% discount
Monthly Recurring Cleaning – 5% discount
When will I be charged for my cleaning?
Cleaning will be charged the morning of your scheduled clean. You will see a hold on the credit card or debit card that was supplied at the time of booking.
If I sign up for recurring cleaning, will the same team be in my home each time?
Usually, we send teams out based on schedules and confirmed bookings. However, if you prefer the same team to clean your home for your recurring cleaning, we will make every attempt to schedule that team.
What time will arrive at my home?
When booking services, we provide a 2-hour arrival window. This allows the cleaning team time in case there’s traffic and/or unexpected events at the previous clean. We appreciate your understanding.
Questions about our Employees
Are the cleaners that will clean my home professionally trained?
Yes, all Scrubbies cleaners take part in our in-house training program. Professional cleaners that have been with Scrubbies for one year or longer will have earned their House Cleaning Technician Certificate via IICRC/ISSA.
Have the cleaners passed background checks?
Yes, all Scrubbies cleaners have passed background checks at the time of hire.

What is the difference between a basic/standard clean and a deep clean service?
The basic/standard clean is designed to help maintain a certain level of cleanliness around your home. That initial level of cleanliness is typically achieved during the deep clean service. When you choose to invest into a recurring basic/standard clean service, our Professional House Cleaner will do some of the following tasks:
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Cleaning the kitchen – wiping countertop surfaces, exterior of appliances, emptying trash, adding dishes to dishwasher, etc.
- Mopping / vacuuming floors
- Tidying up your home
These tasks are commonly referred to as maintenance tasks. By investing in recurring services, you will help keep your home free from dust, dirt, and other build-up which normally occurs over time.
The deep clean service is typically needed when you first hire a cleaning service provider for recurring cleaning. Though, the deep clean service is more expensive than the basic/standard clean service, it is only needed every six (6) or twelve (12) months.
The Scrubbies Deep Clean Service will remove the deep dirt and grime build-up in your home. It includes over 70 additional tasks across several areas of your home that are not included with the basic/standard clean service. With the Scrubbies Deep Clean Service, our Professional House Cleaner will do some of the following tasks:
- Cleaning the inside of the fridge
- Deep and complete dusting of baseboards and doors in all applicable rooms
- Cleaning the interior of windows
- Cleaning patio doors and windows frames
- Remove soap scum from showerheads, shower doors, bathroom tiles, etc.
- Change bed linen (if new linen is sitting out)
As you can see, the Scrubbies Deep Clean Service is much more thorough than the basic/standard clean service. This is the primary reason you pay more when you hire Professional House Cleaners – it also takes longer to complete.
Can I choose a recurring clean without an initial deep clean?
When booking a recurring clean, we require an initial deep clean service. This is necessary to bring your home up to a level where our cleaners are performing maintenance cleans rather than full clean deep cleans each time we clean your home.
How long will my cleaning take?
There are different variables (size of the home, level of clean requested, etc.) that determine the true length of time it will take to clean your home. During the estimate process, we will provide you with an estimated time frame.
How many cleaners do you send?
Typically, we send up to two (2) cleaners. However, for larger homes, we may elect to send three or more cleaners.
Do you have your own supplies?
Yes, we will bring all of our supplies.
Do I need to be home for my cleaning?
You are not required to be home while performing the clean.
If you live in an apartment that has a concierge service, we ask that you leave a key with them or make arrangements in advance to let our cleaners into your home.
Otherwise, we ask that you make arrangements with us in advance so that we can get access to your home.
What should I do with my pets on cleaning day?
We love your furry friends. However, for the safety of your pets and our cleaners, we ask that you place your pet in a separate room or in a crate while cleaners are performing their clean of your home.
What if I have restricted areas of my home?
We are extremely mindful of privacy. In case you have an area of your home that you do not want us to enter, please let us know. We will ensure that our cleaners do not enter that area per your request.
Is your business insured and bonded?
Yes, Scrubbies is fully insured and bonded.
Is it normal to tip the cleaners?
Let’s first start out by saying tipping your house cleaning team is not expected nor required. It’s always a great gesture to tip the cleaning team, but it is not required.
Questions about our Satisfaction Guarantee
What is your satisfaction guarantee?
If you’re not satisfied with the cleaning, notify us within 24 hours and we will perform the clean again. If you are still not satisfied, we will provide a refund.
What if something in my home is damaged, misplaced, or stolen?
We understand that your personal belongings are very important to you. If you believe that a personal item has been damaged or misplaced, contact us immediately.
